Epoxy pricing in Kuwait needs a defined substrate, system and preparation scope. A square-metre figure alone does not describe the complete job, particularly when one quotation includes repairs and another begins after preparation. Compare the same scope before approving a price.
Existing floor condition
Is the base concrete, ceramic or an old coating? Identify cracks, peeling, oil and known moisture. Ask for inspection, preparation and repairs as clear items rather than assuming every floor is ready.
System and actual use
“Epoxy” alone does not specify layers, thickness or finish. Explain whether use involves walking, vehicles or equipment, and whether water or other substances contact the floor. The quotation should identify the system selected for those conditions.
Area and details
Provide dimensions and coverage boundaries, including edges, skirtings, joints and drains. Divided rooms and obstacles need defined access and scope as well as a floor-area total.
Work staging and downtime
State whether the space is empty or furniture must move, and whether work is continuous or staged. Agree clearing, protection and the required return-to-use date for the specific system.
Compare quotations fairly
If a quotation is lower, ask what is included and excluded. If it is higher, ask for the difference. Price alone establishes neither quality nor suitability. Compare preparation, repairs, layer build-up, details, protection and responsibility on the same basis.
Can area simply be multiplied by a rate?
Only when the rate and its scope are defined. Check additional preparation, edges, moving and exclusions before reviewing the final total. No universal fixed rate is published before understanding the floor and required system.
Prepare a clear request
- Location, property type and approximate area.
- Overall floor and close-up defect photographs.
- Current finish and use.
- Known moisture, peeling or cracks.
- Sunlight, water exposure and required timing.
Review the supply-and-installation service. If the finish is undecided, compare microcement and epoxy. Garage projects should also use the pre-installation checklist.
