A microcement programme runs from site preparation to permitted use, including working time and waiting between stages. Ask when the team enters, when the area must be vacant and when furniture may return. Another project’s duration is insufficient for booking movers or temporary accommodation.
Stages to include
- Inspection and approval of surfaces, system, sample, doors and services.
- Site readiness, clearance and completion of preceding work.
- Base repairs and their own waiting periods.
- Preparation, finish and protection layers to the chosen specification.
- Separate permissions for walking, furniture and water exposure.
A day without workers may be a required protected waiting stage. Ask what condition must be met before the next operation.
Drying, curing and use are different

Why dates may change
A base defect may require your decision or another contractor. Record the repair owner, review point and revised expected date before confirming transport. Topciment also notes effects of temperature, humidity and ventilation. Discuss room conditions, air conditioning and ventilation in Kuwait; outside heat alone does not justify shortening waits.
Coordinate other teams
List carpenters, electricians, glass installers and movers, including routes, equipment and fixing work. Review entry order, especially where the finished corridor is the only route to other rooms. For an occupied house, draw closed and usable zones and confirm whether staged work suits the system and junction design. Identify essential access, the only bathroom, children’s areas and services that must remain available.
Before booking furniture
Agree who confirms site readiness and when, pending samples and decisions, stages requiring full closure, coordination and protection responsibility, change notifications and the confirmation needed to book moving and cleaning.
Common questions
Is a small area always faster? Separate working hours from waiting. Corners, preparation and stage count may still determine the programme; request a site-specific estimate.
My moving date is fixed. Disclose it immediately and assess both completion and permitted use before contracting. If unsuitable, discuss a different scope or later date.
