Microcement quotations in Kuwait depend on area, substrate condition and use. A design photo alone cannot define a precise offer. Almusaileem provides supply and installation and requests site photos, area and approximate measurements to determine the next step.
Information to send
Identify location, property type, floor/wall/bathroom/kitchen surfaces, dimensions, whether walls and floor are both required, wide and close defect/joint photos, known damp or moving tiles, desired colour and target date.
Bathroom floor area is not the whole scope
If walls are included, give length, width and finish height, openings and exact surfaces. Niches, edges, corners and returns need additional measurement.
Illustrative calculation: 2 × 3 m bathroom, 3 m high
- Floor: 2 × 3 = 6 m².
- Wall perimeter: 2 × (2 + 3) = 10 linear metres.
- Four full-height walls before openings: 10 × 3 = 30 m².
- Initial total: 6 + 30 = 36 m² before door/window deductions and details.
This is a calculation example, not an actual project measurement or quotation. Measure only requested walls/heights, agree opening deductions in writing and measure niche sides, thresholds, edges and returns separately. The ceiling is excluded. A “6 m² bathroom” may therefore include 30 m² of walls before deductions. Why quotations differ
- Damaged surfaces require assessment and repair.
- Corners, stairs and openings differ from a broad simple surface.
- A dry wall differs from a water-exposed zone.
- Removal, furniture moving and earlier repairs change scope.
Compare equivalent written scope
A metre rate alone is insufficient. Mark each item included, excluded or awaiting inspection:
- Floors, walls, finish height, niches and thresholds, units and opening deductions.
- Base stability/moisture checks, repairs, joint preparation and changes if concealed defects appear.
- Waterproofing, falls and drain connection review, and leak/plumbing responsibility.
- Fixture, door and accessory removal/reinstatement and protection.
- Named system, approved colour/sample, protective coating and intended-use suitability.
- Stages, permissions for walking, water and furniture, care and any written warranty.
Compare totals only for matching scope. Floor-only finishing differs from walls plus preparation and fixture work. Resolve inspection-dependent items before final approval.

Existing tiles and timing
Tile stability, joints, condition and system compatibility determine coverage. Loose tiles, moisture and movement need treatment. Programme depends on preparation, area, stages and waiting. Completion and permission for use/cleaning may be different; disclose the only bathroom.
Before approval
Ask about preparation and defect treatment, owner’s prerequisites, first use and washing, care, and any written warranty scope and exclusions. A finish is not a guarantee for plumbing or waterproofing; leaks require independent assessment and repair.
